Goal Getter is a single-pay variable life insurance plan where your premium, less insurance coverage-related fees, is invested in your choice of investment funds.

Build towards your fund goal with only Php 10,000 as initial investment and a plan that allows you to keep adding to it with as little as Php 5,000 in monthly top ups.

Whether you invest regularly for twelve months or twelve years, it’s up to you. Start your savings habit by deciding how much you want to save every month and how long you want to keep adding to your savings.

What you need to know

Who can buy Goal Getter?

You can buy a Goal Getter plan if you are:

  • Between 20 to 60 years old
  • Currently residing in the Philippines

How much is the life insurance coverage of my plan?

Your Goal Getter plan comes with guaranteed life insurance coverage. This means that you can nominate your loved ones as beneficiaries of your plan upon your demise. These beneficiaries will receive 125%* of your total premiums paid or the actual account value of your investment, whichever is higher.

*This assumes that there are no partial withdrawals from your account.

What should I expect after buying Goal Getter?

One of our customer care representatives will get in touch with you within the next banking day to verify your application and payment details. This will be done via a scheduled video call through Facebook Messenger. Once that’s done, you can track your investments via MyAXA.

Can I pay more than Php 10,000 for my first investment?

Of course! By investing more, you have more money set aside to help you achieve your dreams. This also means that you’re closer to the minimum full investment of Php 50,000 within one (1) year. Then, you simply have to choose or create a payment plan to save up for the difference.

Can I save up more than Php 5,000 a month?

Sure. Since you need to save up to at least Php 50,000 within a year, you can reach your goal faster by setting aside more every month.

What if I don’t save at least Php 50,000 within 1 year?

Time and discipline is needed to achieve your dreams, so it’s best if you stay focused. But in case you are unable save at least Php 50,000 within the first 12 months, a Php 2,000 non-completion fee will be charged to your account. Nonetheless, you will still get to enjoy all the other benefits of a Goal Getter plan.

What if I want to continue saving monthly after I reach the Php 50,000 full investment?

That’s great! Investing regularly will help you grow your money faster. You can keep setting aside money every month or whenever you have extra funds from your bonuses or incentives. Once committed investment amount and duration has been completed, you may submit a filled up top-up form and choose any of the payment methods to add to your investments.

What’s the maximum amount I can invest?

You can invest a maximum initial premium of Php 125,000. Should you wish to invest more, you can make top-ups anytime.

What investment funds are available?

There are two (2) investment funds for you:

  • Philippine Wealth Bond Fund - The Philippine Wealth Bond Fund is invested in varying maturities of Philippine government bonds. Government bonds are debt issued by the national government and regularly pay interest for borrowing funds. Due to this regular income stream, bond funds have steadier returns with less risk of loss compared to equities. A decrease in the country’s ability to pay back debt, and increases in interest rates may cause the bond fund’s value to decline. On the other hand, bond funds perform well during periods of improved credit quality, low inflation and lower interest rates.
  • Chinese Tycoon Fund - Equity funds are invested in stocks or ownership in businesses. The Chinese Tycoon Fund is mainly invested in stocks of local corporations owned by Filipino-Chinese businessmen and listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange. These are mostly companies with high earnings growth and leaders in market share such as SM Prime Holdings, JG Summit and Jollibee Corporation. These leaders in retail and consumer goods are positioned to take advantage of the country’s demographic advantage. Equity fund prices are subject to large price fluctuations especially if there are global economic concerns or shifts in market sentiment.

Having a portion of your portfolio in a steadier bond fund can mitigate your worries while a portion in an equity fund boosts your upside returns. You can allocate a percentage of your total investment to each of the two funds, depending on your needs and how much risk you are willing to take.

Can I switch funds or the allocation of my funds?

Yes, you are free to switch between the two funds or adjust the allocation for each of the funds. You can do this for free up to 8 times a year. To switch the funds’ allocation, download the fund switch/change in allocation form here (link to the fund switch request form) and submit a copy of the nearest AXA branch.

How do I keep track of investment?

MyAXA lets you keep track of your investment’s growth over time. Learn more about MyAXA here

What happens if I need to withdraw from my investment?

In case you need your money, partial or full withdrawal/s from your investment can be done, subject to Surrender Charges during the first four (4) years and is free of charge starting on the 5th year.

Surrender charges:

  • On the 1st year – 10% of the total account value
  • On the 2nd year – 6% of the total account value
  • On the 3rd year – 4% of the total account value
  • On the 4th year – 2% of the total account value

To withdraw, simply download a copy of the withdrawal form here and submit a copy to the nearest AXA branch.

Can I see the breakdown of all the fees and charges for Goal Getter?

Goal Getter is subject to the following fees and charges:

  • Premium Charge of Php210/month for 24 months. This is used to cover sales costs and administrative expenses to keep your policy in force.
  • Cost of Insurance Charge is the monthly amount deducted from the Fund Value to pay for the life insurance coverage, which increases over time as you age.
  • Asset Management Charge depends on your chosen fund. This is paid to the fund’s manager for their investment management services.
  • Non-completion Fee of Php2,000 is charged from the Account Value if the total premium in the first twelve (12) months is less than Php50,000.
  • Surrender Charge will be deducted from the proceeds you will receive if you withdraw from your Account Value within the first four (4) years. 10% (1st year), 6% (2nd year), 4,% (3rd year), and 2% (4th year) will be deducted from the proceeds depending on when you make the withdrawal. In case of full withdrawal within the first 24 months from the Effective Date of Your Policy, total proceeds on surrender is equal to the Account Value less the applicable surrender charges less outstanding premium charges on remaining months. Refer to Note 5 on page 7 for the details of the fees.

QUESTION {[{$index + 1}]}

{[{question.description}]}

{[{ans.description}]}

You understand that investing allows for higher returns than savings, but there is a risk that your investments might yield loss and the value of your investments can even be lower than the amount you invested.

A balanced investment typically means that your funds will be allocated both in bonds for income generation and in stocks for investment growth. This combination helps prevent financial loss in case the stock market experiences a downturn.

This is how we would allocate your investment based on your investment profile.

You can still choose to customize your allocation by increasing or decreasing the recommended split.

You understand that diversifying your investments keeps a steady return while reducing risks.

A conservative investor looks to the long term. It would be best if you funds are invested in relatively low risk and conventional instruments with measured and reasonable growth potential.

This is how we would allocate your investment based on you investment profile.

You can still choose to customize your allocation by increasing or decreasing the recommended split.

You prefer the possibility of a higher average annual return on your investments even if this means that there is a probability of a loss in any given year.

A growth-oriented investment is defined as having a higher than average level of risk and unpredictability in exchange for the possibility of also reaping higher than average returns.

This is how we would allocate your investment based on you investment profile.

You can still choose to customize your allocation by increasing or decreasing the recommended split.
